One Caribbean Business Network Foundation Celebrates One Year of Connecting the Caribbean

WILLEMSTAD, Curaçao – As the One Caribbean Business Network Foundation (OCBN) approaches its first anniversary on August 18, the organization is celebrating a year of building bridges across the Caribbean business community and creating new opportunities for connection, collaboration, and growth.

What began as a vision to unite entrepreneurs, professionals, organizations, Economic Interest Groups, and investors across the region has evolved into a growing Caribbean network with ambassadors in Curaçao, Aruba, Suriname, Barbados, Jamaica, and St Kitts & Nevis, supported by an established digital platform and mobile app designed to foster meaningful business relationships.

In just twelve months, OCBN has hosted networking events, expanded its regional presence, welcomed members from across the Caribbean and beyond, and laid the foundation for a connected business ecosystem built on collaboration rather than competition.

"The Caribbean is filled with incredible talent, innovation, and opportunity, but too often we operate in silos," said Suzette Louw, Co-Founder of One Caribbean Business Network Foundation. "Over the past year, we have seen what happens when people are given a space to connect authentically. Partnerships are formed, ideas are shared, and opportunities emerge. Our first anniversary is not just a celebration of what we have achieved, but of what is possible when the Caribbean comes together."

Through monthly in-person meet-ups, regional virtual networking events, strategic partnerships, and its growing online community, OCBN continues to create pathways for entrepreneurs, business leaders, professionals, organizations, and investors to engage with one another across borders.

The organization's ambassador model plays a key role in this mission, empowering local representatives to strengthen business communities while connecting them to a wider regional network. Each chapter brings its own unique perspective while contributing to a shared vision of a more connected and prosperous Caribbean.

"One of the things that makes OCBN special is that it is not focused solely on networking. It is focused on meaningful relationships and creating an environment where collaboration can thrive," added Louw. "We are building bridges between islands, industries, and people who may never have connected otherwise."

Looking ahead, OCBN plans to continue expanding its regional footprint, strengthening partnerships, increasing member engagement, and creating new opportunities for visibility, mentorship, and collaboration throughout the Caribbean.

OCBN also invites entrepreneurs, professionals, organizations, and investors to join its next OCBN Global Connect virtual networking event on 29 August. The monthly online gathering brings together participants from across the Caribbean and beyond to exchange ideas, build meaningful connections, and explore opportunities for collaboration in a welcoming regional community.
